Whether it is for warehousing and logistics applications, in chemical or pharmaceutical production, or in manufacturing supply chains – touch displays provide a new means of innovative user interactions, especially when they are seamlessly incorporated. As responsive interfaces they serve as control consoles, operating elements or monitoring screens. Displays in this environment not only need to provide precise touch sensitivity and high image quality but also resist the rough environment they are used in.

Philips monitors have a portfolio of touch displays that is specifically designed for the manufacturing industry. The B1TFL series displays come in four sizes from 15.5 to 23.8 inches, with panels that offer brightness values of 350 to 450 nits plus anti-glare coating which can be used comfortably even in well-lit environments. The 10-point projected capacitive touch technology guarantees a reliable user experience, while the 7H scratch hardness of the edge-to-edge glass overlay provides for a long lifetime and easy cleaning. Furthermore, the monitors are IP65 certified and have an 8 mm foam rim on the border and are thus water and dust protected. Installation – whether in landscape, portrait or face-up position – is supported through an innovative L-bracket system as well as a standard VESA mount.

The displays feature a variety of connectors, including HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA and DVI, and also come with a built-in USB hub (2x USB-A 3.1) to connect extra hardware and power devices. The OSD can be accessed through the built-in OSD buttons or through a dedicated remote controller, which is part of the package. This comes in handy in the case of fixed installations when the back of the monitor can no longer be reached.

The touch monitors comply with several European standards and EMI class-B for additional electromagnetic protection. They are cross-platform compatible with certain versions of Windows, Android and Linux.
