Top tips on choosing the right bracket for your TV
1) TV Screen Size
Screens are specified within a common set of sizes based on measuring the screen diagonally from corner to corner. Most will say on the box but if re-hanging an existing screen, that’s how to check.
2) TV Gross Weight
The TV weight is an important factor in selecting the correct bracket, again most will specify gross weight of the TV, if not you’ll need to find a set of bathroom scales. The weight the bracket will support is always clearly labelled on the packaging.
3) VESA Mount size
VESA mount is a common standard for fitment measurements and is stated in mm. So check with a ruler and if measuring 20cm or 200mm x 200mm, that’s a 200 x 200 VESA mount.
4) Style of Bracket
Bracket types vary from fixed, Tilt and Full Motion. Tilt brackets are close to the wall but offer some movement to angle the screen. Full Motion brackets can be moved away from the wall and angled from side to side as well.
